STUDENT AFFAIRS

CLASS ATTENDANCE - ELT

The faculty of Arts and Education requires punctual and regular class attendance in order to receive course credit.  A student's failure to satisfy this standard whether by arriving late or missing class may constitute failure to maintain good standing in the course.  Attendance within the faculty programme, which requires full-time professional commitment from students, is determined by the faculty members and the faculty rules and instructions.  If an instructor concludes that a student is at risk of failing to meet the faculty rules and instruction, then the instructor may notify the department.  Once notified the department issue the first notification to the student.  If the problem persists by the student, the department will issue the second issue and then take a pledge from the student by not being absent for even one hour.  After this, if the student becomes absent, this will lead to his exclusion.

World Diabetes Day 2019- ELT- KNU

World Diabetes Day 2019-  ELT- KNU

World Diabetes Day is celebrated each year on November 14, which aims to create a platform to confront diabetes as a critical global health issue.  Knowledge University in Kurdistan region / Iraq, in general, and department of ELT/faculty of education, in particular, held the event under the theme ‘resist, fight diabetes and live’, where ELT students and faculty members explored how they both as collective and individuals could do their part to raise awareness in those who were affected by the disease. They could raise a good amount of money by selling the art that was painted by the students, playing music, performing plays, to mention only a few.
