Certificate Awarding Ceremony of English Language Training Course

The participants gathered today, December 21, 2022, to take part in the certificate awarding ceremony and celebrate their success after completing a three-week English language course. The ceremony lets every participant receive the paper, symbolizing the beginning of boosting their English language. The ceremony started with an impressive speech by Mr Kremanj Muhmed and it was followed by Miss Bekhal B K's (HOD) presentation on this special day in which she gave a general overview of the course. At the end of the ceremony, with great pride, the participants, the members of Nanakaly Hospital, the ELT faculty members, and the trainers took a memorable group photo together.

Hosting a Dutch Speaker

Today, December 12, 2022, Miss Bekhal BK (HOD) invited a Dutch representative, Ms Marnel, to give a talk to our participants in the English language course for cancer patients to motivate them to be strong and not to give up in this difficult time that they are passing through.  Here is the speaker’s speech"

"First of all, I would like to extend my gratitude to ms. Bekhal for inviting me to the university to get acquainted with the English language department. It was lovely to get to know the students in the language class and it was wonderful to hear from them on how they have been dealing with the challenging circumstances that they are going through. I encouraged all of them to try and speak English even if they don't feel confident with their language skills yet. Practise will help enormously to grow in mastering a language. I also extended an invitation to the students to come and practise at the English language cafe that I and some friends organise every Thursday from 6-8pm in House of Hope in Ankawa (location details can be gained through ms. Bekhal). Last, but not least, I offered prayer to the group in the name of Jesus Christ. He was known for His healing miracles while he walked on this earth more than 2000 years ago and has given his followers the command to go and pray for people who are ill. I asked God, on behalf of Jesus, to strengthen the immune systems of the students, to give them wisdom and endurance, and to give a deep hunger for truth in their hearts."

English Language Course- Induction Day

Since last year, Knowledge University—the College of Education—has given free English language classes to community members from various backgrounds.  A group from Nanakali Hospital, which included Mr Krmanj (manager) and some of his staff, as well as many of the hospital's cancer patients, was cordially welcomed by the department's entire faculty members on December 4, 2022, under the supervision of Miss Bekhal B. K. (HOD). They were given a tour of the campus by Miss Bekhal B K and a compelling presentation.  During her presentation, Miss Bekhal B. K. (HOD) made a strong case for the department, college, and department.  She also gave them information on the three-week language course they will take at the college.
