On February 27, 2024, a group of academic supervisors from the English Language Teaching Department visited a number of their prac teachers who are going through the teaching practicum. The head of the Department, Miss Bekahl B K, Mrs. Maysaa, and Mr. Abdulbasit, were among the visiting supervisors. Visiting supervisors kept an eye on the prac teachers while they were doing their teaching practicum and gave them helpful comments and support. As you may know, more trips are planned for the next few weeks. In fact, another group of academic supervisors will be going to see more students in the teaching practicum. On February 26, 2024, an event was held where students showcased their skills in poetry reading and recitation. The event was the result of a partnership between Knowledge University, College of Education, and Salahuddin University, College of Education, on a project aimed at creating students' awareness of the beauty of poetry and helping them explore their literary talents. The College of Education/Department of ELT had a panel discussion today entitled Knowledge University Students and the World in Conversation Program held at the university.
This is part of the department's mission to familiarise the students at the university with the mentioned program.
The panel discussion revolved around the importance and benefits of joining the program. Each of the panelists, Karwan Salihy, Fadi Afram, Hakar Ahmed, Rania Kattan, Mary Serwan, Razar Salar, and Rasan Idris, shed light on the benefits of the program as undergraduates.
Miss Bekhal B K, HOD, moderated the panel and gave a brief description of the history of the program. Mr Basim Razzo, the global site manager, shared his story of joining the program and its positive impact on the participants. Here are some photos of today's panel:
