World Diabetes Day is celebrated each year on November 14, which aims to create a platform to confront diabetes as a critical global health issue. Knowledge University in Kurdistan region / Iraq, in general, and department of ELT/faculty of education, in particular, held the event under the theme ‘resist, fight diabetes and live’, where ELT students and faculty members explored how they both as collective and individuals could do their part to raise awareness in those who were affected by the disease. They could raise a good amount of money by selling the art that was painted by the students, playing music, performing plays, to mention only a few.
