Graduation Oral Defense 2023-24

 

ELT UG4 students are very close to graduating and starting their career lives.  Knowledge University, the College of Education, and the Department of ELT  held a BA graduation project defense on May 20, 2024.  In total, there were 12 groups and three students in each group.  Below is the speech of the head of the department, Miss Bekhal B. K.:

"Many congratulations on this huge accomplishment, dear ELT Finals!  It has been wonderful witnessing your BA graduation projects in the making from close by and seeing you very successfully present your works on the defense days.  All leading up to this special and unique moment!  Your perseverance over the years has finally paid off! Again, a huge congratulations on completing your projects.  Best wishes in all your future endeavors, wherever they may take you!  I am very proud of you all! I will miss you!"

HOD Received Minister of State for Minority Affairs

 Today, May 20th, 2024, Miss Bekhal B K, HOD, welcomed Dr. Aydn, the Minister of State for Minority Affairs, into her office to engage with faculty and students. His visit focused on discussing educational advancements and initiatives aimed at supporting minority communities. Dr. Aydn emphasized the government's commitment to improving access to quality education for all, fostering an inclusive and equitable academic environment. Here are some photos of today's visit:

Conductiing IELTS Test

 Today, 18-05-2024, Nostalgia Institute successfully conducted its first IELTS test in collaboration with Knowledge University. KNU provided a conducive environment for the test takers and ensured a comfortable testing experience. Grateful for the smooth execution and the participation of dedicated students.

Training Course for IELTS Invigilators

 Engaging in the IELTS exam invigilation training session, spanning from May 15 to May 16, 2024, has been a concise yet comprehensive learning experience. Over this brief period, essential skills and protocols were imparted, ensuring a thorough understanding of exam supervision responsibilities. Collaborating with peers and being supervised by the IELTS Exam trainer, Ms. Noor Muhsin, enriched the training, fostering confidence in upholding exam integrity. As the session concludes, readiness to effectively execute invigilation duties for future IELTS examinations has been attained.  Here are some photos of the training:

Today, May 5th, 2024, our ELT students welcomed guests at the Kurdistan-Jordanian Higher Education Summit.
