World Mental Health Day

Mental health problems exist in our lives, families, workplaces and communities, impacting everyone. We must do as much as possible to prevent mental ill-health – as individuals and as a society.  World Mental Health Day is also a chance to talk about mental health in general, how we need to look after it, and how important it is to talk about things and get help if you are struggling. The World Health Organization recognises World Mental Health Day on 10 October every year. Today, October 10th, 2022, the faculties of Education and Science at Knowledge University together held a national workshop on World Mental Helath Day.  The theme of this year’s World Mental Health Day, set by colleagues of Education and Science, is 'Make mental health and wellbeing for all a social priority. Prof. Dr. Yusuf O.Hamad gave a useful and fruitful talk on Mental awareness and Fadi R A (Senior ELT student) gave a short preseason on mental health problems in the 21st century in the region.

This time our blog is so special that is why I would like to say it is with great pleasure that we bring you our latest blog post- A day that cannot be forgotten, a day that celebrates the hard work and dedication of teachers in our faculty by our beloved and dedicated students.  Today, Wednesday, 5-10-2022, ELT students surprised their teachers with their amazing gifts and marvellous event that they held on the occasion of Teacher's Day as they wanted to celebrate the incredible people who have inspired and taught them so much.  Here is the speech of one of the class representatives:

"Teachers Day is a day to celebrate one of the most influential people in our lives, our teachers, who have been a source of inspiration and knowledge in our academic and social lives.  On this day, we want to extend our deepest and warmest congratulations to each one of them and we thank them for always being there for us, and for shaping our lives in such a positive way!"

I hope you enjoy reading this post as much as I enjoyed writing it!
