Preparations for the Orientation Day

It has been about more than two weeks that the students of the department of ELT-College of Arts and Education have been rehearsing a play under the title 'Studying at University.  

 Orientation Day

College of Arts and Education intends to organize an orientation day for the new arrivals- freshmen- and plans to present various scientific and entertainment activities on that day.  Soon the orientation day brochure will be published on the department blogger platform. 

 A Delegation from Knowledge University Visits Lebanese French University 

Today, November 17th, 2021 a delegation from KNU which consisted of the president of KNU Dr Kayhan Z.  Ghafoor and all deans from all colleges visited LFU to congratulate Dr Ameen on his new appointment as the president of LFU and they wished him every success in his new position.  

 

 Artistic Exhibition 

College of Education and Arts organized “PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION” in Knowledge University on 14^th November 2021.  More than 20 different photographs were exhibited for one day.  66 college students from the department and other departments participated in this exhibition. The Head of the department, the coordinator and all faculty members in the department were present.  The photography exhibition provided a professional photographer living in Kurdistan with the opportunity to show some of his favourite photos capturing the Colors and nature of Kurdistan Region.  The photography exhibition allowed our talented student and photographer, Botan Hatam, to have a platform to display and discuss the importance of nature in Kurdistan, as well as successfully raise awareness among the public about the vibrant photography sector and the culture of image-making in Kurdistan as a cultural and creative sector.

Faculty of Arts and Education will have an artistic activity on Sunday 14-11-2021 by Botan Hatam/ UG 2student.

Botan Hatam was born in 1999 in the district of Taq Taq in Erbil governate. He is one of the talented students in the department of ELT- College of Education. He is working as a photographer capturing natural views as well as wedding parties.   He has participated in many art exhibitions in the past and has many exhibitions about his personal artworks. He is ambitious to take his talent further by opening an art exhibition about his works this time in Knowledge University.

Faculty of Arts and Education is delighted to announce that Lecturer Bekhal B Kareem has been appointed as its head of the department.

 Graduation Commencement 2020-2021 - College of Arts - Department of ELT Awarded 32 Graduates 

Today, November 3rd, 2021, college of Arts held its 8th commencement ceremony, awarding students who have completed their bachelor's degree requirements in 2019-2020-2021.  'Rawsa Fadhil Hassan' was ranked first at the university level amongst peers during her honors degree.  Congratulations to her and to all our lovely graduates of 2020-2021.  We are very proud of you all and keep shining!
